About

My early career was in enterprise software and consulting in the US, focused on project management and analysis.

I made a transition into the food sector with a global scope. With two partners I started SinoVino, a distributor of California wines in China. The main focus was supplying the growing Chinese market with a portfolio of mid-range product. I was part of the founding team of a company that raised cattle and marketed premium Angus beef in China. For several years I was active in commodities supply chain, primarily cacao.

It appears that cultural and commercial worlds move across country lines more fluidly and more rapidly than ever before.  Interesting products, people, tastes and ideas move internationally — and organizations that act the same are as equally intriguing.

Location

I was born and raised in St Petersburg → grew up and studied in the Midwest → briefly lived in Philadelphia → resided in Southern California → Northern California → Beijing China → Caracas Venezuela → Moscow  → Mexico City → Boston.

I always enjoy discovering new places and experiencing the vibrancy of different environments.  I periodically update a log of places I visit.

In the past I have enjoyed and been involved in: skiing, sailing, tennis, golf, racquetball, mountain biking, running ( including organized races), and backgammon.
